Are You Saved?

Are you certain of where you are going when you leave this earth? Are you absolutely sure?

Please don’t be like I was.  I was deceived.  Believing that because I was a good person I was going to heaven.  Oh sure, I smoked, I had an occasional drink every now and then, but I wasn’t addicted. I told a “white” lie or two, and did a little fighting when I had to, but I never killed anybody. I certainly did my share of “shoplifting,” when I didn’t have the money to get what I needed, but I never hit anybody over the head. I even partied in a couple of nightclubs. Yeah, overall I was a pretty good person. Just like everybody else around me. Went to Atlantic City a couple of times, played the Lotto, but I didn’t have a gambling problem. I even gave to the needy and took very well of my kids. But the truth is, and was, all of my “goodness” was not going to get me into heaven. That was not my destination until I accepted Jesus Christ.

Whatever sins you have committed, they are all the same in the eyes of God. If you steal a piece of candy from the candy store, tell a little lie, take another person’s life or have an affair with a married person, it is all the same. There is no little sin and there is no big one. And there is certainly not a sin too wrong that God will not forgive you for doing.

God is love. And He loves us so much that He sent His only Son Jesus to die for us so that we can be saved and that we can go to heaven to be with Him when we die. The Bible tells us that as many as receive Him, they are the sons of God.

God loves you. Jesus loves you. And I love you too! Jesus died on the cross so that you could have eternal life and He wants to give you that life right this very moment.

The Bible says that eye has not seen nor has ear heard, nor has it entered into the heart of man, what God has in store for those who love Him.  He has so many good things for you.  So many blessings are just waiting to be poured out on you.  But you can only get them if you give up your life, and accept the life that Christ has to offer you.  God said I place before you, life and death.  Blessings and cursings.  Choose life.

What must you do to choose life?

Confess with your mouth and believe in your heart that Jesus Christ died for your sins and God raised Him from the dead and you shall have life.  You shall be saved. It’s as simple as saying out loud.

Are you sure of where you’re going? If not, are you ready to receive Him?  The decision is yours.  Salvation is not about joining a church, it’s not about the clothes you wear, it’s not about who you are or what you did.  How much money you have or anything else.  It’s about accepting Jesus.  If you are ready, let me help you.  Pray this prayer with me:

Precious and Holy Father.   Hear my cry.  I know that I have made some mistakes and I know that Jesus died for those mistakes.  I believe in You, God.  I believe in Your Son Jesus that He died for my sins and You raised Him from the dead.  I believe that He died so that I can be saved.  I want to be saved.  Come into my heart now Lord.  I offer You my life Lord.

I am sorry for my sins.  I am sorry for all the wrong that I have done.  Forgive me Lord.  Wash me and make me over.  I open my heart to You.  Create in me a clean heart and renew a right spirit within me that I may be whole.

I receive You now Lord Jesus as my Lord and Savior.  Thank You for saving me.  Thank You for forgiving me.  Thank You for loving me.

I confess my salvation right now in the name of Jesus.  I am a child of God.

In Jesus’ name I pray, Amen.

Hallelujah! If you have prayed this prayer, I encourage you to find yourself a good study Bible and a church family.   Ask the Lord to guide you in doing this and He will.  In the meantime, if you need any spiritual guidance or prayer, feel free to e-mail me at Sis. E@comcast.net.

God bless you and welcome to the family!

Praise the Lord!  The heavens are rejoicing! And so am I!
